Corey first joined the group as an NNCI REU student characterizing B-III-V alloys for use as photodetectors. She then became an ECE Ph.D. student and was studying the growth and characterization of highly mismatched alloys. Specifically, she was working on wavelength extension in the MWIR and LWIR on conventional III-V substrates. After graduating, she joined Larry Lee's research group at UIUC as a postdoctoral scholar.
