Stephen spent Summer 2013 in the group as an NNIN REU. He returned to the group as an ECE graduate student after spending 2014 working for IBM. He studied the design and MBE growth of heterostructures using III–V materials and and their device applications for his doctoral and postdoctoral studies, with an emphasis on low-noise infrared photodetector devices. After his postdoc, he joined CACI in Austin, TX as an Applied Physics Research Engineer.
