Vaishno was a postdoctoral scholar working on the molecular beam epitaxial growth, fabrication, and nanoscale characterization of metal:semiconductor nanocomposites and related materials in collaboration with Prof. Ed Yu. After her postdoc, she joined Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX before moving to Cree as a Research Scientist.
